Why we chose Good Shepherd as our name.

The name Good Shepherd has two meanings. First, it honors Christ. Second, like a good shepherd who gently guides and earns the trust of his flock, a financial professional should build trust with clients through faithfulness in all situations.

Benjamin Geer

Owner/Founder

Our owner Benjamin is a husband and father of 2.  Family is very important to him.  He worked for a local financial planning company for over 6 years and a very busy tax preparation firm in 2024 which provided him with the confidence to start his own firm.  Benjamin was a youth pastor for over 15 years and continues to focus on helping our youth as well as preaching and teaching at local senior living places. 

His dream is to create a safe and welcoming environment that takes away the stress and anxiety related to financial matters.

  • We can’t promise you’ll meet with someone when you come in, but we can set an appointment or you can drop off your documents.

  • You do not! We understand you are busy with life. We have an online secure portal where you can send and receive documents.

  • An EA can represent you before the IRS should you be audited. While that seems scary to face alone the truth is that so long as you are accurate and truthful with your information you are not very likely to be audited.
